Steven Earp, Lead Pastor

Lead Pastor Steven Earp and his wife of over 20 years have five kids. This Moore couple have deep roots in this area.

During two decades of ministry, Steven has served in a variety of church leadership roles. From being a kid’s pastor to planting a new life giving church, his adult life has been defined by serving the local church.

Most of his ministry time, he’s simultaneously worked in ministry and business. Steven says frequently, “We’ve done business to fund our ministry habit!”

In recent years, much of Earp’s time has been spent coaching up and coming leaders. He’s also heavily invested in the strategizing, resourcing and equipping of new church start ups.

Most often, listeners comment that Earp’s speaking style is authentic and conversational. His teaching is strongly Bible based and his leadership style relies heavily on one on one and group coaching.

Rhett Burnett has been a law enforcement officer for over 30 years.  He is currently the Undersheriff of the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.  Rhett came to us from REVIVE Church in Tecumseh, OK, where he pastored for five years. Rhett & Misty were married in 1994 and are the proud parents of 4 girls and a son.  Their daughter Calysta is 14 and is an 8^th grader at Whittier Middle School.  She is an accomplished competitive dancer.  Rylan is 3 years old and appears to be headed to being drafted in the 1^st round of the NFL draft.  OK, maybe not, but that would be fine with Dad.  Misty is a stay at home mom, but also works as an Appraiser for the Sheriff’s office, as a dispatcher for Terry’s Propane company, and an assistant at Massay’s DanceStar studio.  Misty is also the coordinator, driver, scheduler & arranger of the Burnett’s lives as they revolve around their children.

 Rhett felt the call to preach in 2003 while serving as the Wednesday night Children’s lay minister at Crosspointe church.  In 2008 Rhett was called to Revive church and has served their since that time.  Rhett feels a sense of urgency regarding God’s call on his life to preach serve, and lead others to Christ.  There is no time to waste.

Anthony Alan – Associate Pastor; Dream Team and Worship

Anthony started leading worship a number of years ago. He’s lead worship for thousands of people from camps, retreats and conferences to local church worship services and concerts.

Since he started working at Elevate Church full time he’s expanded his abilities from mainly worship into overall pastoral responsibilities, team building and leadership development.

His goal in connecting with Elevate Church was to “get married and have kids” spiritually speaking instead of continually traveling doing worship events.

We look forward to seeing the spiritual offspring can be raised up into the leadership roles that God has planned for them as a result of Anthony’s ministry!

Rick and Janet Cadena; Coaching and Growth Track

Rick and Janet both play key roles at Elevate Church.

Rick is our “Head Coach”. The coaching ministry at Elevate helps match people that desire to grow with others who can help them along on the journey. This one on one mentoring is something we’re passionate about at Elevate Church.

Janet coordinates Growth Track. Growth Track is the next step in getting involved at Elevate Church. Held monthly, this four week teaching series shares the basics of the Christian faith and the past, present and future of Elevate Church.

Over the last 20+ years, Rick and Janet have been an active part of church ministry, serving in numerous areas of teaching and leadership. They are the parents of 3 adult children, and are especially proud of their 2 year old granddaughter. If you don’t believe it, just ask Rick to show you pictures!

For approximately 10 years, the Cadenas worked in residential child care, including 8 years at the south OKC campus of the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. Rick currently works for Guthrie Job Corps, and Janet is an administrative assistant for a local industrial flooring company.

The Cadenas joined Elevate Church in the fall of 2011, and have been actively serving with the Dream Team in various areas. They’ve overseen the coaching and shepherding ministries; and beginning Fall 2012, have stepped into the role of Growth Track Facilitators.

Rick and Sonya Tyra; Elevate Kid’s Pastors

Rick and Sonya have been married since December of 2004 and they have two young boys.  They have been working together fulfilling different roles in children’s ministry since before they were married.  Rick has run sound and other technical areas of ministry as well as co-teaching.  Sonya has taught, led children’s worship, worked with small groups, and just about any other job in kid ministry that you could name…

Rick is a gifted business man and during the day he runs a family owned business.  Sonya has been a public school teacher since the fall of 1999.

They are very passionate about serving God by loving on kids and helping them come to a closer relationship with God.  They knew that joining Team Elevate was what they were supposed to do and they enjoy each and every Sunday.  When kids come to Elevate they are dedicated to not just kid-sitting, but having a high energy, fun, and God focused church service.

Elevate Church launched on 9/18/2011. The church almost immediately was averaging around 200 in attendance. Over the next 18 months, that number grew to nearly 300. Over 150 people have come to follow Christ and dozens have been baptized.

Since the beginning, Elevate Church has been filled with “God stories” of how people found Elevate and how their lives were changed as a result. There’s nothing as exciting and being part of something bigger than yourself!

Why Elevate Church?

What Does Elevate Church Do?

 We keep things very simple around Elevate! Our vision is to do just five things but do them very well:

•  Sunday Services – 10am and 11:30am weekly

-       Service: High energy, contemporary, casual dress and always a challenging and encouraging message.

-       Hospitality: continental style coffee juices and snacks. Easy to find signage.

-       Kids: From birth to 6^th grade, learning activities that are fun, professional and safe!

•  Small Groups

 -       Three semesters each year: Spring, Summer and Fall

-       Electives – Choose what interests you: from deep Bible study to outdoor activities or creative groups.

-       Groups have between 6 and 20 people in each

•  Growth Track

 -       A four week introduction to Christianity and Elevate Church. Learn about the past present and future of Elevate.

•  Dream Team

 -       Everyone serving at Elevate in any way is part of the Dream Team. There are many opportunities to make a difference!

•  Coaching

-       One person helping and encouraging another. Let us find someone you can learn from and someone you can invest in.

Child care and food are always provided and for most sessions, registration is not required.

Over the four weeks, you’ll cover topics such as the basics of the faith and baptism; the past, present and future of Elevate Church; essential practices for growing in Christ; learning about spiritual gifts; and how to get involved at Elevate Church.

This workshop covers the basics of what Elevate believes, how to get involved, how Elevate is structured and what it means to become a “ministry partner”.

This session covers some of the practices every believer needs in order to grow spiritually.

• Elevate Gifts 3.0

Do you realize what makes you unique? This class will help you discover more about your personality, spiritual gifts and purpose in life. It’s exciting to see how God combines them for the best fit for you making an impact in the Kingdom!

1. Elevate Church OKC - About God

God the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God, not three different Gods. (Gen. 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Ps. 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; 2 Cor. 13:14)

2. Elevate Church OKC – About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus came to Earth as a baby and lived a sinless life and then willingly offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all the people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after 3 days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday. (Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Cor. 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; I Tim 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)

3. Elevate Church OKC – About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Jesus Christ. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily. The Holy Spirit is a person who lives in the spirit of a believer rather than an impersonal “it” or apparition.

4. Elevate Church OKC – About the Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us. Human authors such as Moses, Paul, King David to name a few, who were under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote it down. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. We believe that the original manuscripts are the only “inspired” Word of God. (II Tim 3:16; 1:13; II Peter 1:20-21; Ps 119:105-106; Prov 30:5)

5. Elevate Church OKC – About Human Beings

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life. (Gen 1:27; Ps 8:3-6; Is: 53:6a; Rom 3:23; Is 59: 1-2)

6. Elevate Church OKC – About Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self improvement or good works. Only by continually trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer for forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus Christ in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Rom 5:21; 6:23; Eph 2:8-9; John 14:6; 1:12; Titus 3:5; Gal 3:26)

Now that the Holidays are over, it is time to start getting back to normal.  For Elevate, that means SMALL GROUPS!!!  For the next 10 weeks, we will have 5 small groups meeting.  We encourage everyone to join one and get involved.  Remember, Elevate is about Changing Lives.  The best way for YOU to change lives is to join a small group and invest in the lives of those around you.  Don’t be surprised if you learn a thing or two as well.  So click on the logo, review the small groups we have available, and join one.
